As I look back on the whirlwind that was 2024, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude. This small corner spot—what it has become, what it means to me, and what it has offered to others—has surpassed all my expectations.
On January 1, 2024, I entered the new year, I had no idea of the changes and blessings that lay ahead. This space, built on faith, community, and hope, has evolved into more than just a business. It’s a sanctuary—a place for friendships, conversations, laughter, and shared meals.
Throughout the months, the love and encouragement from all of you have been truly inspiring.
From the prayers spoken over this building and property to the meals and conversations around the table and laughter shared, every moment has reminded me why I embarked on this journey.
I love coming to work and opening the door meeting all the new people and looking forward to the regular ones that are like family.
I have worked so hard the last couple years getting the store going and hardly took time for myself or family vacations because I felt like I couldn't leave the store. I didn't feel like I could close the store because someone might need something. But that all changed...
One of my most cherished memories was taking a short vacation this year, a bucket list trip to Leavenworth WA with family, a much needed trip and rest. While I still was a phone call away to my customers and help, stepping away was refreshing, Returning felt like coming home. Knowing the store was in good hands, thanks to my amazing friends who cared for it as I do, brought peace to my heart. My customers were taking care of and greeted with a smile and great conversations.
Some of you know the story of the cute little hand crafted table my brother in law Randy made for me because we needed a place to sit and visit, things soon needed to change again. Initially, it just had just two chairs. Then we added a third, then a fourth, and eventually realized we needed something larger to accommodate all the conversations, laughter, and meals shared around the table. I brought down the old dining room table from the attic that used to belong to my mom and dad, oh the stories it could tell.
Some customers felt nostalgic and missed the little table, others were excited, but everyone seemed to understand: this table represented more space for connection, more meals and conversations, laughter, and prayer. It means we can welcome even more people around the table and into our little community.
Every week, I see familiar faces walk through the door—regulars who brighten my day, new customers exploring for the first time, and kids who eagerly head to the toy corner while their parents shop.
Watching this corner bring people together has been the most unexpected and beautiful gift of all. It’s not just about the beef in the freezer, the milk, eggs, or gifts. It’s about the friendships and community we’ve fostered here. It’s about supporting other local families by offering local goods—honey, bread, art, and gifts—and knowing that every item leaving the shop is more than a transaction; it’s a piece of someone’s heart shared with another.
When I’m not at the corner, you’ll find me at the farm with my family or spending precious moments with my granddaughter. She loves helping stock shelves, welcoming customers, and learning the little things that make this place special. Those moments fill my heart and remind me why I do what I do each day.
This year has been full of love, laughter, and joy. Yes, there have been tears and challenges, but above all, I am blessed. Each of you who walks through these doors—whether you’re a long-time customer, a new visitor, or someone yet to stop by—you make this journey worthwhile.
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for your support, your prayers, your laughter, and your presence. This little corner has become something extraordinary because of you. I can’t wait to see what 2025 will bring, but for now, the table is ready, the chairs are waiting, and I’ll be here to welcome you with a smile and a warm, heartfelt, “Welcome in.”
Here’s to more memories, more laughter, and more community—right here on the corner around the table.
With gratitude and blessings,
We hope you have a Happy New year!

See you at the corner!
Edie—-what a great place you have generated at the corner for so many to gather in fellowship, love and laughter. You have become even a closer friend than when our kids were younger and I am gratefull for your wisdom and returned prayers . I want to publicly thank you for your dedication to making our community better, for shopping and friendship. From precision towing to the Country Corner, Turner has always had the best customer service with you behind the counter and now it’s a fun hangout with the food trucks too. Love ya ma’am, can’t wait for 2025!
